ADJUSTMENT AND COMPENSATION PROFILES
The vertical profiles of the shower enclosure allow the adjustment of the shower enclosure. They allow us to adapt it correctly to the conditions of the work, saving the possible unevenness that may exist in the walls and adjusting to the necessary light gap.
Specifically, the Aktual model profiles allow a compensation of 3 cm, which will allow us to save the unevenness that may exist in the walls of our shower tray or bathtub. The Aktual model is in stock in standard sizes already established and with ranges that allow us to adapt to the opening (see Aktual model tables in the catalog). These ranges (minimum and maximum measurements) will be achieved with the extension system retracted or open to the maximum. To obtain ranges greater than the maximum, we will have to add a compensation profile of +2 or +4 cm to the order.
GLAZING AND DECORATIONS
GME only works with tempered glass partitions. Tempered glass is a type of safety glass, it is processed with thermal or chemical treatments, to increase its resistance compared to normal glass. Tempered glass, when broken, splits into a multitude of small pieces instead of splintering into large jagged shards. These tiny pieces are less likely to cause injury.
This shower enclosure has 6 mm thick tempered safety glass in the sliding panels and 8 mm thick tempered safety glass in the fixed panels.
The shower enclosure can be chosen with clear or acid-etched screen-printed glass with frost plus decoration.
Another decoration option is our adhesive vinyls (delivery time 7 days).
OPENING
The opening system is by means of sliding leaves, which are provided with bearings that slide along the upper guide. Double silent suspended pulley system, 8 wheels per door and 12 in sizes over 140 cm.
LOCKING SYSTEM
The closing system of the shower enclosure is by means of magnetic closure, which provides a great comfort and watertightness at the time of closing the enclosure.
WATERTIGHTNESS
The shower enclosure is equipped with vertical gutter rubbers to guarantee the watertightness in the gap between the sliding panel and the fixed glass.
The shower enclosure lacks profiles in the lower part of the screen, so, to provide a good seal, we must install a rubber gutter at the bottom of the sliding and a metal gutter on the shower tray (0.8 cm. high and 1.2 cm. wide).

The Aktual model is available in front format 1 fixed 1 sliding. It does not have lower profiles following the latest market trends. We cover sizes from 136 cm to 190 cm.
The Aktual bathtub fronts can be fitted with fixed sides from 66 to 74 cm. It is possible to customize the fixed sides up to a maximum size of 120 cm. The delivery time for custom-made products is 10 working days.
We have a 48-hour spare parts service for the components of the shower enclosure.
Aktual bathtub fronts are available in transparent and with acid-etched Frost Plus decoration.

Anti-limescale treatment: EnduroShield is a new permanent protective coating for glass, invisible and non-adherent. With a single application it makes dirt, limescale and soap scum up to 90% easier to clean. Some of our shower enclosures will have this treatment as standard and others will be supplied in a separate bottle. The Aktual series shower enclosure will have it applied as standard in its models from mid-2017. See video of how to apply it.
